The Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD) is a nonprofit service, research and education organization that represents park districts, forest preserves, conservation and recreation agencies. IAPD's mission is to advance these agencies in their ability to provide outstanding park and recreation opportunities, preserve our natural resources, and improve the quality of life for all people in Illinois.
The main goal of the SSPRPA is to serve all communities in this area through better parks and recreation. It is believed through professional ties and exchange of ideas established by the membership in the SSPRPA that individual park and recreation agencies will benefit by improved recreational and leisure services.
The Special Recreation Associations Network of Illinois (SRANI) is a network of therapeutic recreation agencies. Special Recreation Associations provide community-based special recreation services to children and adults with disabilities. These agencies are members of the Illinois Therapeutic Recreation Section of the Illinois Park and Recreation Association (IPRA).
